Treatment rules

At our medical facility, we want to provide you with the best possible care that we would imagine for ourselves. The standard provided by health insurance companies is, in our knowledge and experience, inadequate and does not ensure long-term function, so we strive to apply procedures and treatments that are at the level of current dental knowledge and that can stand up in the long term and guarantee you the longest possible health of your teeth under the circumstances.

Treatment rules

  1. Before starting treatment, each patient must undergo an initial consultation, on the basis of which a treatment plan and a price budget for the entire treatment is determined.
  2. The treatment plan may be modified during the course of treatment as necessary and at the discretion of the treating physician. The patient is informed of these changes. Each change is recorded in the patient's file.
  3. If you do not receive a pricing plan, do not continue treatment.
  4. If any part of the treatment plan or treatment is incomprehensible to you, ask for a re-explanation.
  5. As we want to achieve the maximum quality of treatment, without lengthy waits and in the shortest possible time intervals, a longer period in the dental chair is reserved for each patient, taking into account the scheduled treatment.

    In case the patient fails to appear for the pre-arranged appointment without an excuse, we charge a cancellation fee of CZK 1000,- per 1 hour.

    YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED 2 DAYS IN ADVANCE OF THE APPOINTMENT BY SMS, WHERE YOU WILL BE ASKED TO CONFIRM THE APPOINTMENT. IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE YOUR CONFIRMATION AND FAIL TO CONTACT YOU, YOUR APPOINTMENT MAY BE CANCELLED.

    PATIENTS ARE ADVISED THAT IF THE APPOINTMENT IS NOT CANCELLED AT LEAST 48 HOURS IN ADVANCE, WE ARE ENTITLED TO CHARGE A TIME LOSS FEE ACCORDING TO THE CURRENT PRICE LIST.

  6. Patient agrees to attend a dental hygiene appointment at least once every 12 months if recommended by their treating physician. The frequency of visits to the dental hygienist is determined by the patient's ability to perform quality oral hygiene. The physician or dental hygienist decides on the frequency of visits required.

    The patient further agrees to do everything in his/her power to keep his/her gingival bleeding index (IBI) below 40%. If the bleeding index is found to be insufficient (>40%), we reserve the right to postpone non-acute procedures until the patient's dental hygiene level improves.

  7. The patient agrees to attend regular preventive check-ups at least once every 12 months after the completion of the treatment plan, even if he/she has no difficulties. Failure to comply with these preventive check-ups will not give rise to any form of guarantee.

    THE CONDITIONS FOR THE EXTENDED GUARANTEE ARE SUBJECT TO ANNUAL CHECKS WITH A PHYSICIAN (UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED), VISITS TO OUR CLINIC BY A HYGIENIST AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR AND A BLEEDING INDEX BELOW 40%.

AKESO POLICLINIC dental outpatient clinic guarantees

FILLING THERAPY (all fillings and restorations in the frontal or lateral teeth)

  • 3 year guarantee against filling failure (bond failure)
  • Does not cover chipping or breakage of part of the filling due to trauma
  • Does not apply to new decay on the tooth being repaired

ENDODONTIES (root canal treatment)

  • Full treatment guarantee for 3 years
  • Failure of work 3 - 5 years - discount for alternative solution to tooth loss (50% of original cost)
  • Does not apply to failure due to vertical tooth fracture (root fracture)
  • The guarantee applies only to a tooth treated completely at our clinic. (Endodontic treatment + restoration + crown/onlay)

Prosthetists (crown/bridge/onlay/ veneer)

  • Full warranty for 3 years from delivery of the product (crown fracture, bridge joints, crown/onlay debonding)
  • Damage 3 - 5 years - 50% discount on new prosthetic work
  • The warranty covers mechanical damage to the work, not the need to redo the work due to newly formed decay of the abutment tooth

IMPLANTATION

  • 100% guarantee on implant healing
  • 5-year warranty on the retention of the fistula (intraosseous part of the implant) in the mouth
  • For smokers (the number of cigarettes per day is not a factor), 5-year guarantee with 50% co-payment
  • The guarantee applies only to implants fitted with a crown (suprastructure) at our clinic.

SUPRACONSTRUCTION (implant-supported structure)

  • Full 3-year warranty against mechanical damage
  • Damage 3 - 5 years - 50% discount for repair of damage incurred

CONDITIONS FOR EXTENDED WARRANTY ARE SUBJECT TO VISITS BY A HYGIENIST TO OUR OFFICE AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR AND CHECK-UPS WITH A PHYSICIAN ONCE A YEAR.

Warranties do not apply to:

  1. Cracked roots after root canal treatment (vertical root fractures)
  2. Wear and tear caused by normal use
  3. Defects resulting from improper use of the product by the patient or otherwise caused by the patient or external circumstances (accident, etc.)
  4. If the dental procedure or the product has been modified during the warranty period in a dental office other than ours, or in a dental laboratory other than ours.
  5. If the product ceases to correspond to a medical condition simply because the patient's medical condition has changed.
