More than a hundred people visited the stand of the Diagnostic Centre of Hořovice Hospital. Visitors had the opportunity to ask various questions about our outpatient clinics and examinations within the scope of care we provide. For children we had bilirubin measurements, preschool maturity check-ups and colorvocity. All the examinations were carried out under the hands of the general practitioner for children and adolescents Lenka Chudomelová together with the pediatric nurse Mrs. Ivana Vrbová.
And what were the feelings from the first event? "Overall, I rate the event as very successful. Quite a large number of visitors stopped by our stand, seniors, mothers with children, people of working age. Of course, each of these groups had a different range of interests, but I think we had a satisfactory answer for all of them. Seniors particularly appreciated the presence of imaging and orthopedics, while mothers with children were interested in the wide range of specialized pediatric clinics. I was very pleased to see how many people know Hořovice Hospital, some mothers even gave birth in the Maternity Hospital U Sluneční brány. Virtually all the feedback was positive and people welcomed the opening of the new outpatient clinics under the AKESO medical holding. And while the adults were getting information, the children were enjoying small gifts, bublifukas or hippos, everything was going well," says MUDr. Lenka Chudomelová.
"This year's Health Day symbolically launches public events in our district. The last year has shown us that health and taking care of it is the most important thing. It is up to each of us how responsibly we approach our health. I believe that today's event offered the public a lot of interesting information about prevention and avoidance of health complications, as well as a wide range of inspiration for a healthy lifestyle," said David Vodrážka, Mayor of Prague 13, commenting on the event.
