AKESO POLICLINIC Outpatient Clinics

In terms of medical specialties, the polyclinic focuses primarily on maternal, child and adolescent care. However, as a modern provider of diagnostic and outpatient care, we also provide selected health services for adult patients. AKESO POLICLINIC thus offers its services for the whole family, in a very pleasant environment, with state-of-the-art medical technology and digital operation - i.e. without unnecessary paperwork. Our polyclinic is a continuation of the medical care of the Hořovice Hospital and the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun. Our facilities are contractual partners of all insurance companies.

Our AKESO POLICLINIC offers a wide range of health services for children, adolescents and adults in its outpatient clinics. In short, we provide:

  • radiodiagnostic examinations using the latest magnetic resonance imaging, X-ray and ultrasound equipment

  • management of the full spectrum of nutritional disorders from failure to thrive to obesity
  • consultancy in paediatric urology
  • consultancy in the field of infantile haemangiomas
  • treatment of inflammatory, degenerative and metabolic skeletal diseases in adult patients

Denzitometrie patří mezi nejpřesnější metody měření hustoty kostí a hraje zásadní roli v prevenci zlomenin způsobených osteoporózou.

Je to neinvazivní a bezbolestná metoda, která pomocí nízkodávkového rentgenového záření měří minerální hustotu kostní tkáně. Nejčastěji se vyšetřují bederní páteř, kyčelní kloub, případně další části skeletu podle doporučení lékaře.

Samotné vyšetření trvá přibližně 20–30 minut.

Mezi nejčastější indikace patří:

  • ženy po menopauze
  • muži a ženy nad 65 let
  • pacienti s opakovanými zlomeninami
  • dlouhodobé užívání kortikoidů
  • onemocnění ovlivňující metabolismus kostí
  • rodinná zátěž osteoporózou

Vyšetření denzitometrie je možné absolvovat na základě žádanky od lékaře.
