Several new outpatient clinics have opened this year. What were they?
After a year of operation of AKESO POLICLINICS, we have almost filled all our outpatient clinics with patients. Even though the capacity of the existing premises was almost full, we managed to open several new specialties. We have opened a physiotherapy outpatient clinic, a paediatric surgical outpatient clinic, expanded to include an additional adult general practitioner outpatient clinic, a psychological outpatient clinic and a rheumatology outpatient clinic, where we have also acquired the status of a biological treatment centre. Other expansions involved existing facilities. In order to meet the high demand from clients, we have extended our surgery hours, for example in the allergy and pneumonology outpatient clinic, which is now open to patients on Saturdays.
You have also extended the MRI surgery hours. Can we say that the demand for the examination is now satisfied?
We have increased the MRI operation to all week until 11 pm, which is particularly good for working clients. MRI examinations are in high demand here at the centre due to the very favourable appointment times, the unrivalled quality of the images and the highly professional descriptions from our doctors.
Which outpatient clinics were the most sought after in 2022?
It is safe to say that all of our outpatient clinics are fully booked and we continue to look for ways to increase our traffic.
What are the plans for 2023?
From the outset, 2023 will be marked by the further development of our centre with a number of new outpatient clinics. Already in the first weeks of 2023 we will open a beautiful new space in Building D on the 11th floor, where our clients will find a new physiotherapy outpatient clinic. In addition, a new doctor specializing in paediatric gastroenterology will join us, we will strengthen the outpatient clinic for eating disorders in children, a nutritionist will be available for children and adults, a child psychiatrist and a plastic surgeon will also have an outpatient clinic here. The existing premises in Building A will now house a general surgical outpatient clinic, a proctology outpatient clinic and a bariatric clinic with a specialist in obesity treatment. We also plan to expand services during the year with a dermatology outpatient clinic.
Is the staffing situation in AKESO POLICLINICE stable or are you looking for some employees?
We are very fortunate to have quality staff among doctors, nurses, radiology assistants and receptionists. The team is stable, nice and friendly. We would like to recruit another part-time paediatric neurologist and a gynaecologist.
