It has a positive effect especially in back and joint pain, acute muscle overload, post-surgical or post-traumatic pain. It can treat heel spurs, tendonitis or acute and chronic spinal pain. It is also suitable for athletes to speed up recovery after exercise.
"The treatment is completely painless and safe. Its main effects are mainly immediate pain relief, release of muscle tension, but also reduction of swelling. In short, the therapy has a healing and regenerative effect," says Jana Smitková , a physiotherapist at the Diagnostic Centre.
The course of electrotherapy is individual and depends on the nature of the circuit.
"The therapist applies current using a therapeutic tip electrode specifically to the damaged tissue and stays in one place for 3-5 seconds. Rebox currents affect the tissue in an area about 1.5 cm from the point of contact. In total, several dozen points can be treated in one session," describes the physiotherapist. "The frequency depends on the duration of the difficulty, from 1 application per week to 4 to 5 days in a row."
Rebox therapy is not suitable for pregnant women, patients who have open wounds at the application site, suffer from febrile conditions, heart disorders, or have a pacemaker.
The therapy can be used without a doctor's referral and can be booked by calling 233 555 000, emailing recepce@dcnh.cz or in person at the Diagnostic Centre reception.
