We know that living with an ostomy brings many questions and sensitivities. That's why we rely on an individual approach, humanity and maximum accessibility of our services. The counselling room will be run by an experienced stoma nurse Mgr. Pavla Örhalmi.
What does the new clinic offer to patients?
- Comprehensive care and checks for all types of stomas.
- Prevention and management of complications ( e.g. care of irritated skin around the stoma).
- Education and practical advice for managing everyday activities, eating or hygiene.
- Selection and prescription of appropriate aids with the possibility of home delivery.
- Wide availability - in addition to outpatient appointments, we offer telephone or online consultations, even outside normal working hours (including weekends).
Backed by a strong team
The Stoma Clinic works closely with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and specialists (surgery, urology, nutritional therapy, psychology), including the top-notch accredited Coloproctology Centre at Hospital Hořovice. We also actively cooperate with the patient organisation ILCO.
