In terms of medical specialties, the polyclinic focuses primarily on maternal, child and adolescent care. However, as a modern provider of diagnostic and outpatient care, we also provide selected health services for adult patients. AKESO POLICLINIC thus offers its services for the whole family, in a very pleasant environment, with state-of-the-art medical technology and digital operation - i.e. without unnecessary paperwork. Our polyclinic is a continuation of the medical care of the Hospital Hořovice and the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun. Our facilities are contractual partners of all insurance companies.

Our AKESO POLICLINIC offers a wide range of health services for children, adolescents and adults in its outpatient clinics . In short, we provide:

Pediatric cardiology

In the pediatric cardiology outpatient clinic, we examine and monitor pediatric patients suspected of having one of more than 100 different congenital heart defects. We provide both pre-operative and post-operative outpatient follow-up for these patients. Equally important are the evaluation and follow-up of children who have heart murmurs, heart rhythm disturbances, shortness of breath of unclear origin, chest pain, high blood pressure, and evaluation after experiencing collapses.

We also emphasize prevention of circulatory diseases, which should begin in childhood. That's why we also care for patients at risk of atherosclerosis, which is the most common cause of coronary heart disease, lower limb ischemic disease and cerebrovascular disease. Last but not least, we provide cardiology screening for young athletes, which is not covered by health insurance.

We provide clinical, ECG and ECHO cardiac testing. We also have all the necessary laboratory methods available, which are provided by contract laboratories or our laboratories in the Hospital Hořovice and Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun. We cooperate very closely with the Children's Cardiac Centre of the Motol University Hospital.

Important information

  • It is necessary to make an appointment in advance by calling 233 555 000.
  • Before entering the AKESO POLICLINIC, please prepare your insurance card and a referral for examination by a paediatrician (application form).
  • The examination time depends on the patient's difficulties, usually 15 - 30 minutes.
  • The presence of a parent is a matter of course during the examination.
  • The last patient will be seen 30 minutes before the end of office hours.
