AKESO POLICLINIC Outpatient Clinics

In terms of medical specialties, the polyclinic focuses primarily on maternal, child and adolescent care. However, as a modern provider of diagnostic and outpatient care, we also provide selected health services for adult patients. AKESO POLICLINIC thus offers its services for the whole family, in a very pleasant environment, with state-of-the-art medical technology and digital operation - i.e. without unnecessary paperwork. Our polyclinic is a continuation of the medical care of the Hořovice Hospital and the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun. Our facilities are contractual partners of all insurance companies.

Our AKESO POLICLINIC offers a wide range of health services for children, adolescents and adults in its outpatient clinics. In short, we provide:

  • preventive, curative and long-term care for clients from newborn age to young adulthood
  • radiodiagnostic examinations using the latest magnetic resonance imaging, X-ray and ultrasound equipment
  • treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract, allergy tests and other care in the field of paediatric pneumology and allergy
  • prevention and treatment of diseases of the supporting and musculoskeletal system, both for children and adults
  • comprehensive gynaecological care for children, adolescents and pregnant women
  • treatment of newborns, infants and toddlers using the Vojta method, including screening examinations
  • general care for paediatric neurological patients
  • examination and monitoring of children with congenital heart defects in the paediatric cardiology outpatient clinic
  • long-term care of newborns at risk
  • management of the full spectrum of nutritional disorders from failure to thrive to obesity
  • consultancy in paediatric urology
  • consultancy in the field of infantile haemangiomas
  • treatment of inflammatory, degenerative and metabolic skeletal diseases in adult patients
  • highly accurate and time-saving blood and urine analysis in our dedicated collection room

MUDr. Miroslav Krejča, Ph.D.

Education:

  • 1984 - Completion of studies at the Faculty
  • 1987 - Attestation in general surgery
  • 1992 - Attestation in plastic surgery in the Czech Republic
  • 1993 - Full registration in plastic surgery with the Medical Board of South Australia
  • 1995 - Ordinary registration in plastic surgery with the General Medical Council, UK
  • 1996 - Licensed by the Czech Medical Chamber for Plastic Surgery
  • 2001 - Assistant Professor at the 1st Medical Faculty of Charles University in Prague in the field of plastic surgery
  • 2002 - Licence of the Czech Medical Chamber for the level of Chief Plastic Surgeon
  • 2003 - Ph.D. on Dupuytren's disease
  • 2005 - Licence in Plastic Surgery at the level of Chief Consultant with the General Medical Council UK
  • 2006 - Licensure in Plastic Surgery, level Chief Consultant, with the Irish Medical Council, Ireland

Experience:

  • Approximately 500 - 800 surgeries per year - since 1993 - with the lowest possible complication rate (according to audit results)
  • 1984 - 1992 training in surgery and plastic surgery at clinical sites in the Czech Republic
  • 1993 - 1994 - internship in Australia (Flinders Medical Centre - University Hospital, full time 2 years)
  • 1995 - practice in the UK (St. Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery - prestigious postgraduate teaching hospital, full time 1 year)
  • 1996 - 2011 - plastic surgeon at UVN Prague and private practice
  • 2001 - presently teaching medical students at the Department of Plastic Surgery, Bulovka Hospital
  • 2005 - 2006 - practice in Great Britain and Ireland for The Harley Medical Group - aesthetic surgery (Highgate Hospital London, Clane Private Hospital Ireland)
  • 2011 - 2024 private practice
