In terms of medical specialties, the polyclinic focuses primarily on maternal, child and adolescent care. However, as a modern provider of diagnostic and outpatient care, we also provide selected health services for adult patients. In the AKESO POLICLINIC hemangioma clinic we deal with infantile hemangiomas, which are benign neoplasms of blood vessels that develop in the first months of life, when they usually grow the fastest.

In some cases, they require medical treatment, which is very effective and usually leads to the complete disappearance of the hemangioma. It must be started early and therefore early and correct diagnosis is very important, ideally within 4-6 months of the child's life. The treatment is usually initiated on an outpatient basis, in exceptional indicated cases with a short hospitalization at the Motol Hospital or Hospital Hořovice.

Since February 2025, MUDr. Pavla Raušová, under the auspices of MUDr. Mališ from the Department of Pediatric Haematooncology, Motol University Hospital, has been running the consultation room for haemangiomas.
