In terms of medical specialties, the polyclinic focuses primarily on maternal, child and adolescent care. However, as a modern provider of diagnostic and outpatient care, we also provide selected health services for adult patients. AKESO POLICLINIC thus offers its services for the whole family, in a very pleasant environment, with state-of-the-art medical technology and digital operation - i.e. without unnecessary paperwork. Our polyclinic is a continuation of the medical care of the Hospital Hořovice and the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun. Our facilities are contractual partners of all insurance companies.

Our AKESO POLICLINIC offers a wide range of health services for children, adolescents and adults in its outpatient clinics . In short, we provide:

Pediatric gastroenterology outpatient clinic - AKESO POLICLINIC Nové Butovice

The AKESO POLICLINIC in Nové Butovice has a new outpatient clinic of pediatric gastroenterology focused on the diagnosis and treatment of digestive tract diseases in children and adolescents aged 0-18 years.

We care for patients with diseases of the oesophagus, stomach and intestines, liver, gallbladder and biliary tract as well as pancreas. We also focus on food intolerances ( especially lactose intolerance and celiac disease), eating disorders, and other functional and inflammatory diseases of the digestive system.

The most common difficulties according to the age of the child

  • Newborns and infants: failure to thrive, infant colic, gastroesophageal reflux (return of stomach contents to the esophagus)
  • Toddlers and preschoolers: abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation
  • Older children and adolescents: inflammatory bowel and liver diseases, eating disorders
  • A significant proportion of patients present with suspected lactose intolerance or celiac disease

Diagnostic and examination methods

We offer a wide range of non-invasive and invasive tests as part of our gastroenterology care:

  • Comprehensive clinical examination and laboratory diagnostics
  • imaging methods (ultrasound, X-ray, CT or MRI when indicated),
  • pH metry to diagnose gastroesophageal reflux (performed on Tuesdays in the outpatient clinic of AKESO POLICLINIC),
  • endoscopic examinations (performed on Thursdays at the Hospital Hořovice, as needed under premedication or general anaesthesia),
  • We work closely with other pediatric specialties, especially pneumologists, pediatric surgeons and psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.

Office hours

  • MUDr. Szitányi practices at AKESO PPOLICLINICE on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • Thursdays are reserved for endoscopic examinations at the Hospital Hořovice.

  • The outpatient clinic is located in building A, 4th floor.

For the first examination it is necessary to bring:

  • a referral from a general pediatrician,
  • vaccination card,
  • available medical documentation (medical reports and results of previous examinations).
