Complete care: from surgery planning to post-operative follow-up

In our outpatient clinic, we provide expert assessment (indication) for elective surgery in day surgery and then all post-operative care, including check-ups, dressings and examinations. We treat each patient individually and with the utmost regard for his safety, comfort and rapid return to normal life.

Inguinal hernia - with the gentle minimally invasive TAPP method and the classic open approach.
Umbilical hernia - standard surgical solution using a proven open method.
Hernia in scar - modern minimally invasive method IPOM or classic open approach.

Gallbladder removal (cholecystectomy) - for gallstones, polyps or chronic inflammation.
Removal of the appendix (appendectomy) - elective management of chronic inflammation.

How does the whole process work?

Initial consultation
Our specialist will assess your condition and suggest the most appropriate surgical procedure. You can book a consultation with or without a referral from your physician or other specialist (for example, if you suspect a hernia yourself). All the necessary diagnostic tests will be carried out directly by us.
Planning and pre-operative preparation
Together with your physician, you will choose a suitable date for the operation. All the pre-operative examinations and preparation of medical documentation necessary for admission to the hospital will be carried out comfortably in the premises of AKESO POLICLINIC.
Gentle surgery in RHB Beroun
You will undergo the surgery itself in the modern Day Care Centre at the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun. We use minimally invasive techniques during surgery, which will ensure a faster recovery and the need for only a short hospital stay. All surgeries are fully covered by your health insurance with no co-payments.
Home convalescence and post-operative care
After your physician's assessment of your condition, you will leave for home care within 24 hours. You will remain in contact with our team during your recovery. You then come to the AKESO POLICLINIC outpatient clinic for scheduled check-ups, examinations and transfers. Suture removal usually occurs approximately 10 days after surgery.
