Are you suffering from swollen legs due to insufficient venous activity? Lymphatic drainage will give you relief

Lymphatic therapy, also known as lymphatic drainage, is a type of massage that aims to relax the lymphatic vessels and activate the passage of lymph.

Many people are plagued by recurrent swelling due to insufficient venous system. Often the cause is so-called lymphedema, which is a painless, pale swelling that is initially tender.

It is a chronic and acute condition, often lifelong, with a tendency to worsen gradually. If not treated early and correctly, it leads to irreversible changes and complications.

Lymphoedema can arise without apparent cause as a result of a congenital disorder of the lymphatic system. Secondary damage to the lymphatic system by surgery, radiation, inflammation, trauma or cancer is also a common cause. It most commonly affects the upper and lower extremities, but can also be localized in the face.

AKESO POLIKLINIKA offers patients suffering from lymphedema relief in the form of lymphatic drainage. Either manually or by means of an instrument.

The basis for choosing the right therapeutic treatment is a complete initial examination, which will allow the therapist to choose the appropriate method and duration of treatment.

Lymphatic drainage should in some cases be supplemented by the application of lymphotaping, which is used for both haematomas and swellings, or by properly chosen compression, such as sleeves or bandages made of bandages.

Regular massage has many other health and aesthetic benefits. For example, it can reduce the appearance of cellulite, promote detoxification of the body or boost immune system function.

Experienced therapist Hana Koutová, DiS., will advise you on all procedures and recommendations in our office in AKESO POLICLINICE:

A one-off administration fee is charged before the start of therapy. You will be advised of the terms and procedure of the therapy at the time of your appointment.

If you do not have a GP's referral form but would like to use the lymphatic therapy services, you can do so as a self-payer via the ALTOA website, where you will also find instructions for making an appointment.
